Types and uses of masterbatch

The full name of masterbatch is also called masterbatch. It is a new type of polymer material colorant. It consists of three basic elements: pigment or dye, carrier and additive. It is a uniform pigment or dye. The aggregate attached to the resin can be regarded as a pigment concentrate, so its coloring power is higher than the pigment itself. Masterbatch is mainly used on plastics to achieve the desired color effect in plastic or rubber products.

There are several common classification methods for masterbatches:
Classification by carrier: such as PE masterbatch, PP masterbatch, ABS masterbatch, PVC masterbatch, EVA masterbatch, etc.
Classification by use: such as injection molding masterbatch, blow molding masterbatch, spinning masterbatch, etc.

What dispersants are used in carbon black masterbatch?
Each variety can be divided into different grades, for example:
1. Advanced injection molding masterbatch: used for advanced products such as cosmetic packaging boxes, toys, and electrical housings.
2. Ordinary injection molding masterbatch: used for general daily plastic products, industrial containers, etc.
3. Advanced blown film masterbatch: used for blow molding coloring of ultra-thin products.
4. Ordinary blown film masterbatch: used for blow molding coloring of general packaging bags and woven bags.
5. Low-grade masterbatch: used to manufacture low-grade products with low requirements for color quality, such as trash cans, low-grade containers, etc.
6. Special masterbatch: a masterbatch made of the same plastic as the carrier according to the type of plastic specified by the user for the product. For example, PP masterbatch and ABS masterbatch use PP and ABS as carriers respectively.
7. Universal masterbatch: also uses a resin (usually low melting point PE) as a carrier, but can be used for coloring other resins other than its carrier resin. Universal masterbatch is relatively simple and convenient, but it also has many disadvantages. It is recommended that users choose special masterbatch. The heat resistance grade of special masterbatch is generally compatible with the plastic used in the product, and it can be used safely at room temperature. Discoloration of varying degrees will only occur in the following situations: one is that the temperature exceeds the normal range, and the other is that the downtime is too long.
